When doing yoga on a daily basis, you can control your mind and body. We are all busy, and finding time for the things we love, such as traveling, is sometimes not possible because of how hard it is to do lots of things at the same time. So, how do you combine yoga and traveling?

It doesn’t matter if you travel for adventure, for work or just for a holiday. You may be busy on your trip, but doing yoga helps. If you’re dedicated to your yoga routine, then nothing can stop you from improving your healthy lifestyle. Here are some tips for you on how to practice your yoga routines even while you are traveling.

Ways to continue your yoga routine while traveling

First of all, try to have your own comfortable spot when you get to your destination. All of us may be tired from carrying all the baggage we have, and we can run out of energy because of lack of sleep. So when you get to where you’ll be staying, you can straighten your body immediately and get it moving through yoga.

You may take your yoga mat with you and exercise to start your day. For example, you can go to the beach in the morning, if there is. It will give you energy for the whole day. When you’re finally back in your room, you can also check where to find fun games at http://sverigekasinon.se/ after a busy day outside.

We all know that sometimes we have to travel long or there is no available spot for our yoga routines in where we are staying. With that, try to find yoga centers near your place. Simply find out where it is, their class hours, and prices. You can buy a temporary membership so that you can still keep practicing yoga while traveling.

Traveling Around the World http://maura.nu/2017/07/20/traveling-around-the-world/ Thu, 20 Jul 2017 12:49:26 +0000 http://maura.nu/?p=37 With so much going on in our lives such as having a job, it can be hard to find time off. It can be especially hard to get a few weeks off in a row in order to have a decent holiday around Europe. When it finally happens it is a thing of joy until the planning process begins.

 Planning for Europe

The first things when planning a trip are to organise the mundane things. This may seem like an obvious thing but making sure the passport is up to date is a priority. To lessen stress, it is also important to create and, more importantly, stick to a budget. There is nothing worse then overspending. Planning a rough itinerary of where to go is essential. This is particularly important if there is only a short time period for the trip. If there are specific destinations, focus on these and plan the rest of the trip around them. It also helps to book accommodation and transportation in advance and thus avoiding any disappointments en route. Lastly, it is now time to pack!

 Where to go?

It is very important to choose places of interest before travelling. Of course there are always multiple options but it is best to narrow it down to the top areas thus maximising time and getting the most out of the tip.  Top cities chosen were Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and Barcelona. Fitting them all in with a short space of time can be tricky but doable and was all about planning. Starting in Berlin is the most logical route as it is the north western destination. From there it is possible to take trains to Amsterdam, a journey that takes around 7 hours. Amsterdam down to Paris is also simple with many transport options and likewise Paris to Barcelona – though it is the longest trip. The routes are scenic and most can be done via both train or bus depending on preference. For those that prefer a little more adventure, there are options for car hire, though this is a more expensive option. Taking these direct routes for transport allows for at least three days in each city giving plenty of time to see all the sites on offer.Travelling is fun but planning is essential especially for short trips where a lot needs to be crammed in. though on occasion a little bit of  ‘winging it’ is also part of the adventure.

Night Out in Las Vegas! http://maura.nu/2017/07/20/night-out-in-las-vegas/ Thu, 20 Jul 2017 12:44:48 +0000 http://maura.nu/?p=32 Play is Important too.

As everyone knows you’ve got to work hard to get the best out of life. Nothing comes for free and wishing you had the best isn’t going to get you there, but sometimes it’s a battle and a good night out is just what the doctor ordered. So that what I did, I called up a couple of my best friends from college and planned a wild night out in Vegas with them.

Better Bet Right

Having never tired any casino game, not even online I had no idea what to expect which is why I did the obvious thing and Googled how to play casino games. I found this really useful site, Milla’s Casino Blog, which gave me some helpful hints and tips and armed with that and my knowledge of card games from college we headed put into the night.

Blackjack and Poker

The slots were the first thing we tried out and there was so many it would take hours to go around them all, which is probably the point. I was feeling decidedly brave and headed over to the blackjack table, surprising what a few cocktails does to your bravery levels! Well I was almost as stunned as my girlfriends to find I was pretty good at it and even made a couple of wins. So, with bravado on my side I strode over to the poker table and join the next game. Whether it was beginners luck or sheer brilliance on my part I made the bets count and bluffed my way through to another win. Feeling pleased but also a little light-headed from all the adrenaline I took my winnings and ran.

Birthday Surprise

My mother’s birthday is coming up soon so with winnings in hand I managed to find her something that she would like. I then used the rest of it to treat us all to a few more cocktails by the bar before we had to call it a night. I really didn’t expect to do as well as I did, just shows you can learn new skills online.

Healthy Living as Hobby http://maura.nu/2017/07/20/healthy-living-as-hobby/ Thu, 20 Jul 2017 12:42:24 +0000 http://maura.nu/?p=27 A Day in My Life – Green Smoothie and Chewy Ricecakes

Follow me on a typical Saturday in LA where I balance my life with friends, food and me time.

My Day

I always start my day with a big glass of water as soon as I get up. Your body is dehydrated after a night’s sleep and the water will bring it to life. This morning I also added some freshly squeezed lemon juice for some extra vitamin c and it also helps to detox your body.Yoga is always part of my life, every day, but this morning I also decided to go for a run. My usual route of 5km is long enough to wake up the body and get in a good workout in a relatively short amount of time.  I prefer to run on an empty stomach but make sure I have a nice breakfast when I return, this time it was my kale and avocado smoothie. Perfect after a workout as it provides you with all the essential nutrients and fats without making you feel bloated.

The rest of the morning was spent updating my blog, doing some research, catching up with my family and snacking on rice cakes with hummus Before I knew it, it was passed lunch time and I was running late for my yoga class.

Meeting Friends

Typical evening for me is to meet my friends for a nice dinner or perhaps an evening hike. LA has so much to offer and we never run out of places to visit. Today I met up with a few friends at Din Tai Fung Dumpling House where I had stir fried rice cakes with vegetables, yum!

Recipes

 Kale and Blueberry Smoothie

1 cup of Almond Milk
Handfull of Kale
150g of Blueberries

Rice cakes with Hummus and Avocado

 1 can of Chickpeas
½ clove of Garlic (optional)

What’s Going on in the World? http://maura.nu/2017/07/20/whats-going-on-in-the-world/ Thu, 20 Jul 2017 12:39:11 +0000 http://maura.nu/?p=22 It is a sunny morning here in California and as i gaze out of my window holding a steaming cup of coffee, my world feels just right. The quiet and peace of the early morning let my mind wander around things that touched a nerve. Some were good, others not so; but i guess that is how it will always be.

Would you like to know what these things are…Stuff that interests a California girl…? Then read on…

The President

Well, reams and reams of newsprint have already been spent talking about our current President. What do I say that has not already been said. I was actually hopeful that his non-political background may be good to shake up the established order. But things are getting a bit messy for everyone’s liking, to the point that even his own party members are now revolting against him. I simply hope that the political mess gets sorted out soon.

The Climate

We are, perhaps, the only country who has backed out of the Paris Climate Accord. Our President has ensured us that it is for our own good. Now I am not a Greenpeace activist, but I do feel that we all need to do our bit for our planet. Otherwise, we may just be fast forwarding our own doom. At a time when we, as a nation, should be stepping up to the plate, we are handing over the responsibility to other nations.

Good, Tasty Fats

Now that I am done with the serious topics, time for some fun.

I love my food, and I love to work out as well. This led me to discover the Keto diet that many rave about. The one thing that I absolutely adore about this particular diet is that you eat fat to lose fat. I know…it sounds incredible!

I have been loading up on EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), butter, bacon, avocados, fresh cream, and I have not gained an ounce, let me tell you. In fact, I feel my stamina has increased and my body is better toned. Thank you Keto!

My Champions

Confession time: I am a basketball fan and I am absolutely head over heels over Golden State Warriors. Two championships in three seasons is one helluva achievement. And Stephen Curry…boy is he cute…not to mention the awesome skills he displays on court. They are indeed my Champions.

About My Career http://maura.nu/2017/07/20/about-my-career/ Thu, 20 Jul 2017 12:36:11 +0000 http://maura.nu/?p=17 About Me

I’ve been in my current role for a number of years and now and I’m still thoroughly enjoying it, however I feel that I need a bit more of a challenge and due to working for a smaller, family run business there isn’t as much scope for further progression at this current time.

I have been working as a SEN 1-2-1 support worker in a preschool and have the relevant level 3 qualifications alongside peadeatric first aid, safeguarding level 2, prevent training, FGM training, food hygiene level 2m sign-a-long training and a level 2 diploma in SEN.

What I am Looking for

I am looking to broaden my horizons and push further into the role of a SEN Coordinator as I feel very passionately about the health, welfare and growth of children who have additional needs. I feel that all too often these children can be easily overlooked and issues can be mistaken for disruptive behavior rather than complex needs that require specialist help. This coupled with their day to day difficulties makes it that much harder for them to progress at the expected rate and thus they, and the family, can be left feeling low, deflated and undervalued.

Where I am hoping to find my next challenge

I feel that it is time to look at larger companies who have more opportunities to further my career and who may be able to offer additional training to enable me to fulfil my career aspirations. I am happy to consider a range of roles within my current remit and am willing to be flexible on location as well. This means I am happy to relocate to another town or city if this is required, for the right role of course. Even though I am currently working in a preschool I do have some volunteer knowledge of working in a primary school and would relish the opportunity to work with a range of children of different ages and abilities.

Living in California http://maura.nu/2017/07/20/living-in-california/ Thu, 20 Jul 2017 12:33:03 +0000 http://maura.nu/?p=12 Sport and good nutrition is not just a tribute to fashion, but a part of existence.

Classes of fitness can be considered a desire for an optimal quality of life, good physical fitness and health. Different kinds of sports and choices of training are insanely diverse in California. Looking at the magnificent sandy beaches, endless golf courses, excellent stadiums, paths for running, cycling, walking, you begin to doubt the truthfulness of the stories about inactive Americans. A healthy lifestyle in the US has already recruited hundreds of thousands of fans, and on the Atlantic coast has turned into a real cult.

In the center of Florida, everything for this coincided: the sun 250 days a year, the average annual temperature of 25C, open all-the-year-round sports centers, swimming pools, fitness clubs, dance halls, beauty salons and SPA. Of course the most popular water sport is surfing. A large number of people in wetsuits try to conquer the ocean waves throughout the year. The most popular form of exercise is yoga. A huge number of yoga classes are present in fitness centers or there are individual instructors who collect groups and go out with them to the beach and are engaged there, enjoying the nature of the ocean.

Also hiking is very popular there. Groups of people most often gather for the weekend and explore the mountainous terrain on foot. Hiking is a kind of hike with recreational and cognitive purposes, which takes place along well-equipped and well-marked routes, which allows you to choose your own route, its length, complexity and content and does not require special preparation and accompaniment of a guide.

Everything about food in California

California is the richest state of growing vegetables, fruits and berries in the US. Thus, there is an among selection throughout the year to please yourself with healthy products. Of course now there is a question on the organic origin of vegetables and fruits but in America there are specialized organic stores. There is also a great number of farmers who sell their fresh produce in small tents. Apparently due to such conditions a huge number of vegetarians and vegans in California. In general all residents are trying to keep track of their weight and look tidy and fit. Take care of health is a kind of trend in California.
